Leslie
Whitaker, Ph.D. is trained as a mathematician and behavioral scientist. She has spent her
career in academic positions and has published extensively in her chosen field of human
factors-ergonomics. In 1982, she had the opportunity to work in Australia where she met
the people she describes in An
Interview with Eric Abraham, participate in ANZAC Day celebrations (ANZAC Day), dive on the Great Barrier
Reef (Great Barrier Reef), and
generally enjoy the unique beauty of Australia. Dr. Whitaker has recently retired from
University of Dayton.
