"Teaching people about the world in which we live."
TerraX.org provides educational assistance to students, teachers and schools in Romania. We choose activities that are overseen by people with exceptional dedication to the education of their students. The teachers that assist us are those that have demonstrated a long term commitment to their profession, and who can use our assistance wisely.

The Traian Cohal Scholarship was created by the former students of Professor Traian Cohal in recognition of his dedication and professionalism. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide assistance to promising students of the Costache Negruzzi middle school where Professor Cohal taught. These are students who would not otherwise have the means to attend a school of this academic quality.
In 1999 the scholarship helped 3 students. Last year with TerraX.org's support 5 students were sponsored. These students are chosen for their scholastic performance, financial need and reduced local educational access.
TerraX.org selects individual teachers and professionals to assist local schools and students in Romania. The students selected for assistance are those who have shown the desire and ability to learn. The teachers we work with have shown a strong desire to assist their pupils, oftentimes making personal sacrifices to further their student's education.
TerraX.org prefers to find simple solutions where providing missing resources can go a long way. In some cases this could be as simple as new books or materials, or more complicated, such as the tuition and funds so that students like Marian and Ovidiu can attend a better school.
The students, teachers and schools that we help tend to be the type of situations that are overlooked both by government programs and other non-governmental organizations. TerraX.org likes to find cases where a few students, a class or single school has specific needs that we can meet. In many cases students or teachers may not know where to apply for assistance, or their needs may be too small to attract the attention of larger charities or governmental programs.
